Getting started
What TacitDocs is today, and what you need to try it.
Is TacitDocs currently in beta?
Yes. TacitDocs is currently in public beta. The core recording-to-document workflow is available, but features, limits, and the user experience may change as we learn from beta users.
What does the free beta offer include?
Your first recording is free for up to 60 minutes. Sign in with a magic link, upload the recording, review the generated document, and download the finished outputs.
What are the steps, from start to finish?
Seven steps, most of them a single click — or no action from you at all.
- 01
Enter your email
We email you a secure sign-in link. No password required.
- 02

It takes you straight to your private workspace.
- 03
Upload the recording
Send a walkthrough, workshop, training session, handover, or meeting.
- 04
Confirm the duration
Usually detected automatically; you only enter it when needed.
- 05
Generate the knowledge pack
We transcribe the recording and build the timestamped report.
- 06
Review and adjust

- 07
Download and reuse
Share the report or use the structured files with your AI tools.
Which recording formats are supported?
The current upload flow accepts MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV video files. Recording length and upload limits are checked before processing begins.
What you get
The documents that come out the other side, and how to correct them.
What does TacitDocs create?
TacitDocs turns a recorded walkthrough, workshop, training session, handover, or meeting into a structured report, searchable transcript, timestamped evidence, and an AI-ready knowledge pack.
How long does processing take?
Processing time depends on the recording length and current demand. Your workspace shows progress while TacitDocs works, and a completion email is sent when the document is ready.
Can I correct names and terminology?
Yes. Review and Adjust lets you correct speakers, systems, locations, acronyms, and other terms before downloading the updated report and knowledge pack.
Can I download and share the results?
Yes. Completed sessions provide a report and downloadable knowledge pack containing the generated documentation and supporting files.
Your recordings
Where your material goes, and how to remove it.
How is my recording processed and stored?
TacitDocs stores the recording and generated files needed to provide the service. Recordings and transcripts are processed using OpenAI and Anthropic services. Do not upload confidential material unless you are authorised to share it with those providers.
Can I delete a session while it is processing?
Not while it is processing. After the recording has finished, use Delete in your workspace to permanently remove the recording and its generated files. Contact hello@tacitdocs.com if a deletion remains pending or you need help.
